Carol Ginandes is a Boston based fine artist. Her work has been exhibited in museums and galleries and acquired by private and corporate collections. She grew up in New York City but spent summers in rural environments that inspired her passion for nature. She began painting and drawing as a child. Then, through a fellowship award to Yale Summer School of Art, she was introduced to documentary and portrait photography by Walter Rosenblum. She subsequently studied with Minor White at MIT while doing undergraduate work at Harvard University. A Fulbright grant in photography enabled her to spend a year photographing in Latin America. An early book of portraits , now out of print (Of Women Born), was published in a limited fine art edition.
In her other hat, she is a well- known health psychologist who has authored a variety of audio programs for mind/body healing.
